"Thank you so much for making our Christmas so perfect! We felt spoiled rotten the whole time and you really had thought of every little detail to make our stay very special. Curled up on your big sofa in front of the roaring log fire with mince pies and mulled wine was just how I imagined a country Christmas would be. We felt part of the family but still had time to explore a little of cornwall and spend time together. All I had wished for and more!."
Arrive on Christmas Eve to be greeted with a home made clotted cream tea, settle into your room where you will find wine, chocolates and crisp linen sheets. A beautiful meal will be served in the early evening leaving you with time to curl up in front of the log fire and enjoy the sparkle of the bauble laden tree or wander down the lanes to St Ewe village church to join in the service with the locals. On your return hot chocolate and mince pies will warm you before settling in to listen out for barn owls and sleigh bells!
On Christmas Day the festivies start with bucks fizz and a hearty country breakfast, choose from scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, bacon, eggs benedict, thick toast, marmalade and jams, all locally sourced. There is plenty of time to open presents under the tree and then spend time with the family and other guests or take a stroll around the garden before Janie and Mike serve a fabulous 4 course feast accompanied by carefully chosen wines. Relax in the afternoon with a walk on a local beach, chatting and playing board games or enjoy a quiet moment with a good book. In the evening the candles will be lit and a buffet supper served if you are still a little peckish.
Boxing day is a truly relaxing day, take your time over breakfast and then perhaps explore the Lost Gardens Heligan just a 10 minute walk away and who in festive sprit open their gates to everyone free of charge.
